ESNNA refers to the use of minors’ bodies for sexual, pornographic, or erotic purposes in exchange for payment, a promise of payment, or other benefits such as food, clothing, mobile phones, etc.
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) aims to raise awareness among regional and local authorities, tourism service providers, and the general public through prevention actions aimed at eradicating this issue in the country.
ACTIONS
- Technical assistance to regional and local governments: we train officials working in regional and local governments on the prevention of the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents in the tourism sector.
- Informative videos: we provide audiovisual material to raise awareness among officials and tourism service providers and teach them best practices to prevent ESNNA.
- Capacity building for tourism service providers: we raise awareness, inform, and share best practices with tourism service providers regarding the prevention of ESNNA.
- Promotion of the signing of codes of conduct against ESNNA: we promote the signing of the Mandatory Sworn Declaration of Subscription to the Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents by the legal representatives of tourism service providers. This is in accordance with Law No. 30802, which establishes conditions for the admission of girls, boys, and adolescents to accommodation establishments, with the aim of ensuring their protection and integrity.
